Digital engagement is fundamentally changing the way in which humans communicate and interact. In this space (which ALL of us are in… whether you participate or not), the more you give, the more you get.
From Seth, “Now, more than ever, we need to shake things up. Now, more than ever, we need a different way of thinking, a useful way to focus and the energy to turn the game around. I hope a new ebook I’ve organized will get you started on that path. It took months, but I think you’ll find it worth it the effort.”
“Here are more than seventy big thinkers, each sharing an idea for you to think about as we head into the new year. From bestselling author Elizabeth Gilbert to brilliant tech thinker Kevin Kelly, from publisher Tim O’Reilly to radio host Dave Ramsey, there are some important people riffing about important ideas here.”

Thanks for sharing, Jack.

I liked the Bacon Salt story (two guys launch a bacon product without any food experience or marketing budget, but via savvy use of social media, within months they become Oprah darlings).

“The Bacon Salt story,” say Jackie Huba and Ben McConnel, authors of the books Citizen Marketers and Creating Customer Evangelists, “illustrates that’s it’s usually a small percentage of the tribe within the larger tribe who spread the word–usually about 1 percent. They are the One Percenters. … This year, your job is to find and attract them.”

It’s true. Sometimes we hear business people say that they don’t see social media’s value because “not enough people are on Twitter”, for example. What they don’t realize is that most people who use these tools are passionate connectors with big voices and lots of energy. These small minorities within tribes can make huge differences.

Thanks for your thoughtful comment, Sheri.

What a great program and an idea worth duplication.

As a fan of Seth Godin, I’m wondering why you didn’t incorporate Squidoo?
